My Perfect Day: 24 Hours in Brussels!

I don’t know about you but Twenty-four hours in a vibrant city like #Brussels is just not enough, but Imagine that being the only time you’ve been allocated. What would you do?

Morning:

So, you’re all showered up and ready for breakfast in the beautiful Accor Hotels one of my personal favourites being Sofitel Brussels Europe. I absolutely love the plethora of dishes made available at breakfast as #AccorHotels cater for different clientele dietary needs.

9am:

Head out to town via taxi which will cost you 7-10 Euros or if you are adventurous like me you can get on the the tube and the station which is a stone throw away from the European Commission should be a fun stop and your first place to explore  before making your way to Grand Central.

9.30-45am:

You have now exited Grand Central and located the Red tour bus which will most likely depart at 10am. You can give yourself a good 2 hours to accommodate the hopping on and off at the different sites. Take a seat and now comfortably explore Brussels in all its glory. The last time I visited Brussels I think the bus fare for the tour was roughly 15 Euros although don’t quote me lol. The beauty of using the tour bus is that you can get to see all the magnificent tourist sites and get on and off as you please in order to fully take in all that Brussels has to offer.

I love this picture of the Atomium, which is one of the spots the tour bus will stop by. They have a magnificent restaurant so make sure you grab a coffee whilst you are there exploring the site.

Lunch:

12 – 12:15 pm;

You are now back in the city centre and you have located a nice restaurant where you can enjoy some yummy lunch. Now, Brussels has a plethora of restaurants and they cater to different budgets from high end to minimal but even the reasonably cheap restaurants offer amazingly decent food portions. Yes, they are very generous.

An amazing restaurant you definitely want to visit is Brussels Grill, LE CHAR D’OR. It’s located in the middle of tourist crowds, right in front of Galeries Royale St Hubert. You can find this restaurant with “Stella Artois” name on its building. 20 Euros will get you an amazing lunch that is filling.

That was yummy right and you’re now ready to get back to the exploring. Well fear not, because you are now in the centre of where most tourists literally gather. From here on-wards the world is your oyster because you can go shopping in the Galeries Royales Saint Hubert, you CANNOT leave  Brussels without visiting that; its certainly a favourite pass-times.

Manneken Pis, Floral carpet on the Grand Place in Brussels, Belgium and much more is located around this central area. Do Not, and I repeat do not leave town without trying Belgium Waffles with ice cream, they are freshly made and taste heavenly.

As far as night life is concerned the question lies to what you personally like. I am not a clubber but enjoy fine dining and assuming that you have gone back to the hotel to shower and freshen up in readiness for evening activities. Right outside Accor Hotels, Sofitel Brussels Europe there is a surplus of restaurants and wine bars including clubs. If you want to spread your wings a little, you can always grab a taxi into town and it is literally on fireworks.

Or you can wind down at 13 Degres Wine bar

It is by far the best Wine Bar around Place Jourdan and once you are satisfied you can just walk across back  to #AccorHotels24hrs, Sofitel Brussels Europe. Their amazing and comfy rooms and beds will complete your day ~~
